The Florence Griswold - Lyme Artists Abroad

The Florence Griswold is one of my favorite museum - I should really says museums because the Miss Florence Griswold's boarding house is a historical site and a gallery and The Robert and Nancy Krible Gallery which was build in 2002 on the grounds of the original homestead offer to different but equally enjoyable experiences.

Marie and I had a delightful visit to Krible Gallery late March 2014.  The exhibit focused on local Lyme artists painting abroad.  The exhibition was well curated and very enjoyable.

Creative Curating

The Museum of Fine Art in Boston boldly broke with tradition and allowed the public to create an exhibit of impressionist art.  Generally exhibits are organized around an artist or a particular theme.  This exhibit was very rewarding as it allowed me to view a wonderful collection of art which was based in Boston and much beloved by the public.

Harriet and I thought this was one of the best pictures in the exhibit because it changed so dramatically when viewed from different angles.
